After a long haul via Dubai and Melbourne, Isabel Senior(S)and Isabel Junior (J) arrived in sunny Nelson at 6.29pm on Sunday. The flights had all gone smoothly with a stop for a short sleep in Dubai and a quick duty free shopping stop in Melbourne. Both Isabels looked a bit tired but considering they had been travelling for nearly 2 full days they were remarkably bright and cheery.
Isabel(S) had a very good trip and was treated very well by Emirates Airline. She was given complimentary fruit platters at each meal washed down with Gin and Tonics and the occasional Campari and orange. Isabel (J) took a bit of a fancy to the very handsome cabin steward but decided that really he was a bit too young for her. "He would be fine as a toy boy but maybe just a bit young really". Both Isabels managed to stay awake until about 9 before the retired to bed. Isabel(J) was quite surprised to hear she was sharing a room with a team of footballers but she didn't complain! (She is in Niall's room.)
